Laws for the Icelandic Women's Rights Association.

Article 2.

The association is a branch of the International Women's Rights Association and works in accordance with its charter. The association's goal is:

a) to work on the development and knowledge of Icelandic women, so that they become good citizens with a full sense of responsibility and understanding of their civic duties, rights and responsibilities.
b) to work towards full equality of women with men in law and in practice.
c) to improve the conditions of women in every way and to work towards their special education in all fields so that they receive the same conditions for education and participation in all social activities as men and the same pay for the same work.
(d) To encourage women to use their rights and influence in public life to ensure that the status of every individual is determined without regard to sex, race or religion, but on the basis of human dignity and ability, since such an assessment is the only true basis of human rights.
(e) to improve the conditions of single mothers and their children both by law and through the implementation of the law.
