Human Variations. The story is based on the diary entries of an elderly man. A novel by Benedikt Pálsson.
The author of the story is a mysterious man. Benedikt Pálsson is a pseudonym, but for whom? The story is the story of a man in his eighties who, with the help of God and a sick wife, enters into a love affair with a younger woman. Many of the descriptions of their relationship are funny and probably what is called "blue light".
Here is a fun story about the couple's preparations for their first honeymoon.
"I took Anna there, took the covers off the beds, folded them up, and laid them on a chair. Then I went into the dressing room, brushed my dentures, threw off the water, and washed myself thoroughly; then I went into my study and undressed. The bedroom was adequately lit by the ten candlelights I had brought in. I went into the bedroom completely naked, but Anna had already climbed into my bed and had spread herself out. She immediately opened it for me; she was completely naked."
