A number of young girls from a Catholic youth group were in the church, especially around a statue of a certain Pope, and they competed to touch the clenched fists of the praying Pope statue as if it would fill them with the Holy Spirit; they looked like primitive idolatrous savages in the bowels of unknown lands. He saw them without thinking about them until later when he was walking down the street alone. He left the church."
