I have dreamed this before. Poem by Jóhann Hjálmarsson.

May evening

When I see the moon low in the sky

I will think about many things that should be ignored.

First I see swarms of insects whizzing by in Roman chariots

then the moon appears like an apple that has been bitten from below

Next is the exodus of the Gentiles through the uncharted territories of the earth.

and finally, he is the dream of the houses for Christmas snow, candles and decorations

He

changes

with every glance

Now he is disappearing.

into the purple palaces of the clouds

and the traveler has nothing left

except for a little porridge

Then the moon knits like a wild horse

and the iron hooves of his song strike the hard pavement

Many girls lose the silver thread of youth

The moon sails through the heavy waves of the ocean

with a white-glowing sail at her

The Flying Dutchman who never lands
