Ólafur Ketilsson, most often identified with Laugarvatn. But he was one of the settlers there and had his working life there. Ólafur drove cars between Laugarvatn and Reykjavík and indeed further afield for half a century and ran an extensive car dealership for a long time. He was known for his diligence, selflessness and honesty. A man of great character for sure. This book tells his story. Guðmundur has his own way of explaining his subject and does not follow a single path. The first chapter is written by Guðmundur in the first person and describes the people, human life and the conditions in Skeiðar early in the century.
