Ivar Orgland (født 13. oktober 1921, død 16. juni 1994) was a Norwegian lyricist, lecturer, editor and dictionary editor.
He debuted with the poetry collections Lilje and sverd in 1950, and subsequently published a total of 15 poetry collections, 23 folk poems from Icelandic, one from Gotland and one from the Faroes (Janus Djurhuus). Gjendiktningene includes both contemporary lyrics and medieval Christian songs such as Harmsol, Solarljod, Nådens veg and Lilja.
Orgland was a lecturer in Norwegian at both the University of Reykjavik and the University of Lund. Since then he became a lecturer in Icelandic at the University of Oslo. He also had a doctorate in Icelandic literature.
He published a language course in 1981 Learn a little Icelandic; and together with Frederik Raastad he published in 1985/1992 an Icelandic-Norwegian dictionary and in 1993 a Norwegian-Icelandic dictionary, as well as the lærgerboken We learn Icelandic.
For his work, Orgland received the Bastian prize in 1986. He was also a recipient of the Icelandic Falcon Order and was appointed a state scholarship holder in 1980. He spent the last days of his life in Asker.
