In the book magazine that year it says about the Icelandic edition of the book: - "The well-known Arctic explorer Ejnar Mikkelsen wrote this impressive novel about the hunter Sachawachiak and the invasion of civilization into his life. Few books are considered to reflect as well the cultural clashes that have occurred in the Arctic, and this book is often cited in that regard. Ejnar Mikkelsen has written a large number of books, most of which are based on accounts of his own travels. Among other things, he had met the West Icelandic Arctic explorer Vilhjálmur Stefánsson."
