Oddur Sigurðsson (often called Oddur the Tall) (1681 – 5 August 1741) was an 18th-century Icelandic lawyer and the most powerful man in the country from 1708 to 1718. He was a very aggressive and temperamental man who was always involved in disputes and lawsuits, often carrying a higher shield. In 1724 he was sentenced to be stripped of his honor, office and property, but was granted a royal pardon in 1730.
