Parcival. The Last Knight Templar. Historical novel by AE Brachvogel. Translated by Friðrik J. Rafnar.
This is a historical novel. It takes place in the early years of the 14th century, and tells of various events that occurred towards the end of the Crusades. The historical core is the abolition and destruction of the Knights Templar by Pope Clement V and King Philip the Fair of France. The story shows dark pictures of the consequences of greed, vice and shameless betrayal. But above all, it shows the triumph of good, the triumph of boyhood, loyalty, love of truth and courage in the end.
Good copies. Rarely seen is Parcival.
