Sveinbjörn Þorkelsson has made a point of expressing himself in as few words as possible, and the results are clearly evident in Perast. At the same time, it is clear that he is choosing increasingly exotic subject matter. Many of the poems in the new book are shaped by the poet's travels through Yugoslavia and Turkey.
