Petter Moen's Diary.
This is the first edition of Petter Moen's Diary. And Sigfús Blöndal gave Bjarni Benediktsson the copy with a Christmas greeting in the year of publication 1949.

Petter Moen was a Norwegian resistance fighter. He was, among other things, the editor of the underground newspaper London-Nytt. Petter was arrested in February 1944. He was taken to prison at Møllergata 19 and remained there until he was to be transferred to Germany. The ship he was on, the SS Westfalen, sank and with it Petter Moen disappeared. He is best remembered for these diaries that he kept in prison at Møllergata. They were written with a needle or nail on toilet paper. The diaries were found at the end of the war and were published in 1949.
