This book is a compilation of Málfríður Einarsdóttir's posthumous writings. On the one hand, there is material that Málfríður worked on in the last years of his life. On the other hand, there are older writings, columns on various topics, art and poetry and the problem of writing Icelandic, descriptions of the environment and the spirit of the age and descriptions of people, to name a few. The book also contains a small sample of the author's newspaper articles, and a selection of letters, including Málfríður's earliest writings in informal language that have been published, and will come as quite a surprise to her readers.
