Björn Sigurðsson (1913-1959) was a physician and the first director of the University of Iceland Experimental Station in Pathology at Keldur. Björn died at a young age, having only been director at Keldur for a little over a decade. In his short life, he achieved remarkable results in research in the fields of pathology, bacteriology, virology, immunology and epidemiology.
