Ryk contains poems by three young girls. They are Díana Rós Rivera, Inam Rakel Yasin and Anna Rún Kristinsdóttir. The girls are 18 years old and study at Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð. This is their first book, but two of the poems, by Inam, appeared in the book Ljóð ungra skálda (Poems of Young Poets), which was published just before Christmas.
There are 52 poems in Ryk, and their subject matter is reflections on life and existence, love and friendship, at once exhilarating and melancholic. (From a review on www.mbl.is in 2002).
