Don't stick your head out the window.
while your dad is driving, mom said.
A branch on a tree can break off
you eye & even if he stops in time
& can find it in all the fallen leaves,
can't you just put it back in the trash?
& assumed it works like it did before.
A doctor must reconnect the tissues
& if any part is damaged – your dad
might have stepped on it before he found it –
it never works right & everyone
know that it is imperfect,
because of how you do it.
