Built in Lidköping. It was a Götenebo named Stig Tomtelund who started construction by Sigrid Storråda. In the book "Sigrid Storråda" by Kjell Nylén, Stig tells how it happened when he got the idea to build a Viking ship: "...This idea of a Viking ship came from another place. There was a voice from up there that, early in January 1993, urged me to do it. 'Stig', he said, 'make sure that a Viking ship is built, and it will be so big and beautiful that people will talk about it.' it was just a matter of obeying and getting started."
