Sigrún á Sunnuhvolur. A novel by Björnstjerne Björnson. Jón Ólafsson, an Icelander.
This is the second edition in Icelandic. It was first published in Iðunn in 1884.
The book is a story about Sigrún in Sunnuhvoll and Þorbjörn in Grenihlíð. Sunnuhvoll stands on a hill, where the sun rises first and sets last, and therefore it is always bright. Grenihlíð, on the other hand, stands in the shade, but not that far away. Sigrún is a sought-after homebody, while Þorbjörn is a warlord and a fighting dog. And of course they fall in love early on, but Sigrún's parents don't like the arrangement, at least not at first, since Þorbjörn's reputation is not good at all.
