Seafaring stories. By Sveinbjörn Egilson.
Sveinbjörn Ásgeir Egilson (1863 – 25 October 1946) was a sailor, writer and editor of the fishermen's newspaper Ægis for 23 years. He was the son of Þorsteinn Sveinbjarnarson Egilson and his first wife, Arndís Ásgeirsdóttir. Sveinbjörn was married to Elína Egilson.
In 1937, the Danish newspaper Börsen published a long article about Sveinbjörn on the occasion of his resignation as editor of Ægir. The article stated that during the 23 years he was editor, he had shown an outstanding ability to make it clear to his readers what could be done to promote the welfare and progress of fisheries.
