At the Hospital. A novel by Freygerður á Fellir. It was Guðlaug Benediktsdóttir who took the pseudonym Freygerður á Fellir.
Guðlaug (1903-1995) was born in Lón, A-Skaftafellssýsla. Her parents were Kristín Jónsdóttir and Reverend Benedikt Eyjólfsson. They moved to Bjarnarnes in Nesjar in 1906. Reverend Benedikt died at the age of fifty, leaving the children young. Kristín married her second husband, Stefán Jónsson, a farmer in Hlíð in Lón, in 1914 and moved to him with the group of children, whom Stefán took as his father's place. Guðlaug had her home in Hlíð until 1937, when she moved to Hraunkot in the same village to live with her brother and his wife, where she did general farm work. She was said to have mystical abilities. In her last years, she suffered from poor health and was cared for in a nursing home for the elderly in Höfn in Hornafjörður.

Guðlaug wrote seven books and several short stories that were published in magazines and read on the radio. She wrote one book under the pseudonym Freygerður á Felli. (www.skáld.is).
