Fate anecdotes by Karen Blixen.
Short stories by Karen Blixen. Here are the stories Dykkeren; - Babettes Gästebud; - Storme; - Den undödelige Historie; - Ringen.

The story of the French refugee Babette, stranded in a remote Norwegian parish, is an excellent example of Karen Blixen's 'storytelling' at its best. Babette's Feast was first published in Ladies Home Journal in 1950. The book was first published in Danish under the pseudonym Isak Dinesen in 1952. It was later translated by Karen Blixen herself and published in the novel collection Skæbne-Anekdoter (1958). Babettes gæstebud was filmed by Gabriel Axel in 1987. After a long stay in Kenya, Karen Blixen (1885-1962) settled in the early 30's in her birthplace Rungstedlund, and it was here that the majority of her writing took shape.
