Report of the Landsbanki Investigation Committee. (Published by government order).
Special edition from Stjórnartíðindur B, 1909.
In the winter of 1909, Tryggvi Gunnarsson was the director of Landsbanki Íslands and Björn was appointed Minister of Iceland on March 31. Soon after taking office, Björn appointed a three-member committee to examine the affairs of Landsbanki. Based on the committee's findings, Björn dismissed the Landsbanki board of directors in November 1909 "due to various, gross and inexcusable irregularities in your activities in the board of directors of the bank and your extremely poor supervision of it."
