Mirror writing. Poem by Gunnar M. Magnúss.
In Þjóðviljan 23.06. 1959, Gunnar M. Magnús's Spegilskrift is mentioned. It says "Spegilskrift, a new book of poetry that is a revolution in form, is published today.
Many innovative poetry books have been published recently, but
probably "Spegilskrift", by Gunnar M., which comes
out today, more innovative than all the others, and is nothing else
to see at first glance that this is a major revolution in form
to discuss. Is this indicative of the radical nature of the book's formal revolution?
The title cover and front page are at the back of the book, and the page numbering begins there, but this would not have occurred to earlier Icelandic reformist poets.
But that shouldn't be the case.
that there was a new tone in my book
in the whole form revolution? One
The poem is as follows:
WIND
You, whom the wind lifts,
you, who are the weakest
world herb,
as the wind blows
— and hills
— and hills.
Pray to the Lord your God
about a repeating rifle
and shoot the wind.
"Mirror Writing" hits bookstores today."
