This is a collection of thirty short stories from three Spanish-speaking islands in the Caribbean: Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. The collection includes stories by well-known writers and spans the entire twentieth century. Erla Erlendsdóttir and Kristín Guðrún Jónsdóttir selected and translated the stories, as well as writing a detailed introduction about the history of the islands and the short story in the 20th century.
