The author of these outbursts of spiritual upheaval and illustrations chooses to use his baptismal and family name, Ævarr.
Ævarr is a skier, born under the mountains at Eystri-Skógar in Rangárvallasýsla and raised at Litla-Hvammur in Mýrdalur from the age of 5.
She comes from a family of housewives, farmers, carpenters and fishermen. Her great-great-grandmother was Þórunn "grasa" Gísladóttir, one of the first women's fashion designers in the Þóra region and a maker of woven vaðmál brocade.
Ævarr is educated in the strict school of life and has spent most of her adult life abroad, including 9 years in Sydney, Australia.
She has been writing, secretly, since childhood, and most of the poems that appear here were written between the ages of 16 and 20.
This is the first book of Ævarr's spiritual transformations.
