The fundamentals of the legal system of society are explained, with a primary emphasis on legal sources. This theory can be called an introductory theory that covers all the specialties of law and has references and connections to various other disciplines. For three decades, the author taught, among other things, general law, legal history and labor law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Iceland and administrative law at the Faculty of Business. (Bókatíðindi 2002).
