Viðbragð úr Víðsjá is a collection of reviews of Icelandic books by Gauti Kristmannsson. Although based on radio reviews, they have all been revised and expanded. There was no attempt to tie the spotlight to the authors, but rather to take the best columns and let chance decide which books would be discussed, just as the purchase is made on the fly when critics get their hands on books. The choice therefore does not reflect the author's taste but primarily the most intriguing columns. Here is a book about literature as it is best enjoyed, book by book. (Cover text).
