Rói Reynagard Patursson (born 21 September 1947) is a Faroese writer, poet and philosopher and the principal of the Folk High School in the Faroe Islands.
Rói, who is the great-grandson of Faroese independence fighter Jóannes Patursson, was born and raised in Þórshöfn. He went sailing at the age of 16, including to the East, then traveled widely throughout Europe and was in Paris in the spring of 1968. He then went back to school, completed his matriculation examination and then studied philosophy at the University of Copenhagen, graduating with a master's degree in 1985. Since 1988, he has been principal of the folk high school in Þórshöfn, Føroya Fólkaháskúla.
He has written short stories and more, but is best known for his poetry, and has only published three books of poetry. The first was published in 1969, when he was only 22 years old, and was very well received. It was anonymous but has since been called Yrkingar. For it, he received, among other things, the Faroese Literature Prize. In 1976, the poetry collection Á alfaravegur was published. In 1986, Rói received the Nordic Council Literature Prize for the poetry collection Líkasum, which was published the previous year. He was again awarded the Faroese Literature Prize in 1988 as an honorary award. No book has come from him since he took over as principal.
